With only 5 days to go until Decision Day, Glasgow 2014 launched their final countdown campaign 'We'll Be Watching' today (Sunday 4th November) encouraging people across the country to share in the excitement of the moment that Scotland discovers if it has won the right to stage the Commonwealth Games.
Top chef Gordon Ramsay encouraged fellow Scots to turn on their television, tune in their radio or go online where the decision will be broadcast live at approximately 12.30pm on Friday 9 November.

He said: "Glasgow has all the right ingredients to host the Commonwealth Games - great venues and most importantly a real love of sport. I think if we get the Games the athletes would have a brilliant time coming here to compete. As a city Glasgow is full of life, excitement and fun, and of course, the thing Scots are most famous for, having the friendliest people in the world. Make sure you are watching on the 9th for the result."

The 'We'll Be Watching' message will be screened on television from today and on radio from tomorrow, as the first members of the Glasgow 2014 delegation depart for the final push in Sri Lanka ahead of Friday's crucial ballot. Glasgow must secure 36 of the 71 available votes to bring the Games home.
The advert, featuring children from Glasgow' East End, clearly communicates the mounting excitement that can be felt across the country. The anticipation is easy to understand given how much Scotland will benefit from hosting one of the world's biggest multi-sports events. It will be aired until Friday as Glasgow 2014 continue to convince voters of the City's merits right up until their final presentation at 11.00am (UK time) on Friday 9 November.
Derek Casey, Glasgow 2014 Bid Director, said ""I think it's great the people of Glasgow and Scotland will have the chance to watch the decision on Friday live on television or the internet, or to hear it on radio. I certainly hope everyone will be watching what could be history in the making.
"Win or lose the Bid has been an incredible process for Glasgow and Scotland. Everyone from primary school children to politicians and even the Proclaimers have shown their support for bringing the Games to Scotland. We couldn't have reached this point without that support.
"The finishing line is now in sight, but we are not complacent. In Sri Lanka we will continue to work as hard as we can right up to the last minute to prove to delegates beyond any doubt that Glasgow is the perfect venue for the Games in 2014."
Some of the 1.8 million people who have backed Scotland's Bid star in 4 versions of 'We'll be Watching' posters, including schoolchildren, retailers, students and older people. These will be distributed throughout the City's leisure and community centres, parks and shopping streets. Glasgow 2014 wants to everyone to know the date and time of the announcement so Scots everywhere can be part of what could be a momentous occasion for Scotland.
Jaimie Hunter, a student at Glasgow Caledonian University, who appears in one of the four poster executions said: "I am proud to be part of this campaign and proud to be Scottish. I live in a wonderful country and I know that if we win everyone who comes to Glasgow will enjoy a wonderful Games experience. I will be glued to the television on Friday, with everything crossed; hoping Glasgow gets the result it deserves for putting forward such a passionate campaign."
Over 1,000 people will hold their breath together with teen sensation Amy Macdonald and one of Scotland's biggest bands, Deacon Blue, as they watch the announcement live on big screens at the Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow. Hundreds more are expected to descend on two key Glasgow 2014 venues, Tollcross Park and Scotstoun Leisure Centre, to countdown to the crucial vote.
Bars and restaurants will display the We'll Be Watching message throughout the week and on Friday many will join organisations and schools throughout the country hosting their own event, where customers and staff can join in the excitement of the announcement.
