Glasgow's professional rugby club, the Glasgow Warriors, have welcomed the Samoan delegate to the city by presenting him with a signed shirt from one of their star players, fellow Samoan Opeta Palepoi.
Mr Vui Tapasu Leung Wai, President of the Samoa National Olympic Committee, is in Glasgow as part of the catch-up group of Commonwealth delegates who are in Scotland to see the bid for Glasgow to host the Commonwealth Games in 2014.

Opeta has lived in the UK for five years, and is an incredible asset both to the Warriors team and his national side, having been capped more than 40 times for Samoa.
He said: "Everyone at the Warriors is right behind the bid for Glasgow to host the Commonwealth Games in 2014. Having the Games in Scotland would be fantastic for this country - I can say first hand that everyone here is so friendly, and visitors and athletes coming here will have a fantastic experience.
"It was an honour to meet Tapasu in Glasgow today as part of his visit, and present him with my playing shirt.
"I wish Glasgow all the best in their efforts to host the Games here, and I'll have my fingers crossed for November 9th."
Glasgow Warriors currently have three Samoan players in their ranks, Opeta being joined by prop Justin Va'a and winger Lome Fa'atau. Both Va'a and Fa'atau are currently playing for Samoa in the Rugby World Cup.
The delegates, from 13 countries across the Commonwealth, will tour venues and facilities across the city as part of the visit to Scotland, which ends on Sunday.
