The Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow's Merchant City was the place to be on November 9 for the decision about the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

With the decision moment beamed back to a hugely excited crowd of over 1,200 people from Sri Lanka, the event was a huge success.

Dougie Donnelly presented the programme of music and song from the stage, which included acts Amy Macdonald and Deacon Blue, as well as the Strathlcyde Police Pipe Band.

As decision moment approached the crowd watched in anticipation as the news arrived from Sri Lanka that Scotland is to host the Commonwealth Games in 2014.

With confetti and a burst of music everyone celebrated the announcement moment.
