Scotstoun Leisure Centre in the West End of Glasgow was buzzing on November 9 for the decision about the host city for the Commonwealth Games in 2014, with hundreds of schoolchildren, locals young and old, regular patrons and staff all creating a brilliant atmosphere for the decision about the Games.

The atmosphere at Scotstoun was electric as the countdown began for the moment of the decision, which Glasgow won 47 votes to 24 at the Commonwealth Games Federation General Assembly in Sri Lanka.

With so many people on hand to celebrate the fantastic win for Glasgow and Scotland, the party continued into the afternoon.

Scotstoun, which will undergo renovations and improvements over the next 18 months, will host squash and table tennis competitions durnig the Games in 2014.
