Make sure November 9 is in your school diary to watch the announcement of which city will win the right to host the Commonwealth Games in 2014! We are expecting the decision at around 12.30pm on Friday 9th Nov - there will be a live broadcast on BBC and STV, as well hopefully live webstreaming of the decision on this website.
Getting young people involved in sport and leaving them a significant legacy of sporting venues and facilities is one of the most important aims of Glasgow's bid to host the Commonwealth Games in 2014. Last week (Oct 19th) the First Minister Alex Salmond wrote to all schools inviting them to watch decision day on November 9th, and join in with the excitement and anticipation of decision day.

We have also put together some resources for teachers which we hope you will enjoy. Every document is in pdf format, which would work well on a whiteboard as well as being printed.
