Gordon Arthur

Gordon Arthur was appointed as Director of Communications at Glasgow 2014 in September 2008, and  is responsible for all internal and external communications in support of the Games, and the marketing programme, which includes advertising, mascot (s), pictograms and the look of the Games.

Previously, he was Director of Corporate Affairs at Standard Life from April 1999 to July 2006, where he was responsible for the communications campaigns that supported the demutualisation and subsequent flotation of the company in July 2006. He left shortly after the flotation to set up his own consultancy business, Roundtable Consultants, through which he advised companies and other organisations on communications and reputational issues.
