Previous to joining the Glasgow 2014 Board, Colin held various roles at Scottish and Southern Energy, firstly as Power Systems Director, becoming Chief Operating Officer in October 2002. Previously to Scottish and Southern Energy, Colin was Director of Distribution for Southern Electric, having joined the industry with the North of Scotland Hydro Electric Board in 1977.

In addition to his responsibilities at Glasgow 2014, Colin will continue to hold Non Executive Director positions at First Group, Southern Water and High Speed 1.

A graduate of Strathclyde University in Electrical Engineering, Colin lives in rural Perthshire and keeps horses, sheep, an assortment of hens and owns a couple of tractors. In his spare time, Colin enjoys fishing, sailing and skiing.
