28/01/14 Clyde, the official mascot of Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, is on his marks to visit to Airyhall School on Tuesday 28 January.During his visit Clyde will hear about the school’s participation in a range of activities which use Glasgow 2014 as an inspiring, motivating, relevant and fun way to learn across the curriculum.These include the weekly school assembly starting with pupils and staff singing the Commonwealth song “Sing”, pupils training for the Hazlehead Associated School Group Commonwealth Games in June and the school’s participation in a special baton relay.

An Observance for Commonwealth Day 2014 was held at Westminster Abbey, London in the presence of HM The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, The Earl and Countess of Wessex. The Service was conducted by The Dean of Westminster, The Very Reverend Dr John Hall. The theme of the service was 'Team Commonwealth'.. . Picture Shows :-
