Aberdeen to Elgin (transition)

Day 19.  Wednesday 2 July.

On Wednesday 2 July, the baton will experience what is known as a transition day, where normal operations will not cease but will be in limited form as the baton makes its way across the length and breadth of Scotland. A small fraction of batonbearers will be today preparing to take part in theGlasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games’ Queen's Baton Relay.

It will pay a morning visit to the BP Scottish Headquarters in Dyce, and while in Huntly and Keith 25 selected batonbearers will carry the baton over the day. Sheena Sharp, who scooped two Gold medals at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, is set run in her home town of Huntly.
