Director of Costume Design, Jilli Blackwood has an impressive history in textile design and is an internationally renowned artist. Jilli will be designing and creating all the costumes for the cast and the hero piper. Jilli created the Glasgow Schools Writing Project for the Ceremony where she worked with Glasgow school children to help them turn their ‘Hope and Dreams’ into a textile design to be incorporated into the Flag props.  She has won numerous awards for her work and has seen her wall hangings and ‘Art to Wear’ collections exhibited worldwide, from Japan to the States. She graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1986 and considers herself a proud Glaswegian.
