The Glasgow 2014 Cultural Programme will be a nationwide celebration – a massive part of the Games experience for spectators and visitors.
Offering a platform to showcase the best of Scottish culture alongside work from the Commonwealth, the Cultural Programme will play a central role in how Scotland hosts and welcomes the Games.
There are two strands: a Scotland-wide programme called Culture 2014; and a Games-time celebration in Glasgow running alongside the sporting action called Festival 2014.
This ambitious and accessible calendar of cultural events will see the host city burst into life at Games Time and ensure the Games touch every part of the nation as part of a year-long countdown.
The Cultural Programme will connect people and communities to the Games, celebrate sport and culture in new and surprising ways, and be at the heart of the Games Time experience – helping people enjoy, appreciate and navigate the host city.
