As the countdown continues, enthusiasm for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games is ramping up around Scotland and around the world.
2012 has seen some important Games milestones. Rapid construction has brought new landmarks to Glasgow’s skyline. Scottish icons Sir Chris Hoy and Billy Connolly have been named Games ambassadors. Community engagement, strengthened by the triumphs of the London 2012 Olympics, has been enthusiastic - from participation in “Sport Your Trainers” Day to the warm-spirited competition of the Mascot and Official Tartan design.
Anticipation is building and in 2013 there are going to be plenty of exciting new ways to get involved in the Games.
