clyde-sider of the week - Kristine Johnson
Feature

What’s your name and where are you from?

My name's Kristine Johnson and I'm from Dollar. My photo  is me at the top of the world at a temperature of -38 (with Everest behind me!)

What Clyde-sider role have you been offered?

I’ll be a Team Leader for Uniforms.

Where will you be based?

I’m not sure where I’ll be based right now, but I do like surprises! All clyde-siders will visit this mystery location to be presented with their uniform.

What are you most looking forward to about your role?

I’m looking forward to being part of a large team making the Games great through friendship, effort and fun.

Why did you want to be a Clyde-sider in the first place?

I applied because I was born in Glasgow, then I was a student in the great city and finally got married there. I also worked at the Glasgow Garden Festival in 1988!

Have you visited Glasgow before? If so what’s your favourite thing about the city?

I like to return to Glasgow from time to time for the beautiful buildings and the famous ‘Glasgow welcome’. I currently like to visit the Emirates Arena to watch Glasgow Rocks Basketball. I can’t wait to see Rugby 7s and Table Tennis at the Games!

If you won a gold medal, what would your celebration song be?

My celebration song would be Ellie Goulding - Burn.

Can you sum up what you think Glasgow 2014 will be like in 3 words?

Gallus, gregarious, gobsmacking!
