From the Commonwealth Archives at Stirling University to the edge of a diving board in Bermuda, ‘Endurance’ is a fascinating new theatre production which tells the stories of sportswomen from across the Commonwealth.

Created and performed by over 20 women from Glasgow, Endurance examines the changing role of women in competitive sport and hits the stage from Thursday 24, Friday 25, Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July 2014 at The Arches, one of the city’s most popular cultural venues.

Presented by A Moment’s Peace Theatre Company and The Women’s Creative Company, Endurance is also part of Festival 2014 – the cultural celebrations running alongside the sporting action of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

“In the summer that the world comes to Glasgow, The Arches is proud to present a celebration of brave live performance, featuring thought-provoking Scottish-based artists as they tackle themes that resonate throughout the global community” says Jackie Wylie, Artistic Director at The Arches.

“We are thrilled to be part of the official Glasgow 2014 Cultural Programme. It’s a landmark year for Glasgow and we could not be more excited to celebrate this with audiences old, new, local and international.”
