WHERE DO YOU LIVE?
ARE PEOPLE IN SYDNEY EXCITED ABOUT GLASGOW 2014?
I'm doing my best to generate lots of hype!
IS THIS THE FIRST TIME YOU’VE VOLUNTEERED?
No, I volunteer at food and music festivals, for education programmes and last year I was a volunteer reporter for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
WHAT’S YOUR BEST MEMORY FROM LONDON 2012?
I loved the entire experience of being part of an international sporting event, but interviewing Russian gymnast, Daria Dmitrieva after her Rhythmic Gymnastics routine won Silver was definitely a highlight.
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM VOLUNTEERING AND DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR PEOPLE JOINING IN FOR THE FIRST TIME?
Volunteering is an enriching experience whether you're contributing something big or small. Bring initiative, enthusiasm and an electric optimism, and you'll all have a great time, even when the pressure is on!
IF YOU COULD HAVE BEEN A VOLUNTEER AT ANY EVENT IN HISTORY, WHICH WOULD YOU PICK AND WHY?
The 1974 or 2006 FIFA World Cup – to be around to see the Socceroos compete!
DO YOU HAVE A SPORTING HERO?
Gymnast Nadia Comaneci.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO ABOUT GLASGOW 2014?
The thrill of competition and celebrating the achievements of incredible people – those competing in the Games and those working behind the scenes.
WHICH THREE COMMONWEALTH SPORTS STARS WOULD YOU INVITE TO DINNER AND WHY?
I'd choose any three as long as they promised to invite me out when they visit Australia for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games!
WHICH SPORTING COMPETITION CAN’T YOU WAIT TO SEE AT GLASGOW 2014?
Badminton – I developed an appreciation for the sport while volunteering at the London 2012 Badminton events. I hope to see some familiar faces in the competition at Glasgow 2014.
