Tollcross Aquatic Centre

The drama of the Swimming competitions will be played out at Tollcross International Swimming Centre. The venue is owned by Glasgow City Council and has been extensively refurbished and extended. The existing 50 metre, 10-lane pool has been joined by a new 50m, six-lane warm-up and training pool, ensuring world-class facilities for the Games.

Due to the sport’s popularity, an additional 1,000 permanent spectator seats are being added as part of the extension work, and at Games Time 3,000 temporary seats will be provided, bringing the total spectator capacity to 5,000.

The developments at Tollcross International Swimming Centre will provide a permanent training and recreational facility for the local community and elite athletes alike, as well as a venue for major international swimming competitions.
