To register for the Campaign:
Log on at http://www.glasgow2014.com/sport_your_trainers/step_up.aspx
All winners of the Prizes will
be selected in a series of random draws, conducted by the OC from
all relevant valid registrations for the Campaign. The draws
for the Tier 2 and Tier 3 Prizes shall take place on a weekly basis
throughout the Campaign Period. The draw for the Tier 1 Prize will
take place at the end of the Campaign Period and the winner will be
notified by email (using the details submitted at time of entry)
within 10 working days.
Whilst the OC shall use all
reasonable endeavours to accommodate winners’ choice of colour of
laces, and in the case of SYT trainers, to provide a pair of SYT
trainers in their preferred shoe size, prizes are limited and so
this cannot be guaranteed.
All reasonable effort will be
made to contact the winners; however, if a winner is not
contactable or a prize is not claimed with 14 days of notification,
the winner will forfeit their prize and a further winner will be
selected from all remaining valid entries.
Tier 2 and Tier 3 Prizes will
be sent to the winners’ designated address within 28 days, however
the Tier 1 Prize may only be issued to the winner on the day of the
event.
By registering for the
Campaign, all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be
bound by these terms and conditions. All entry instructions form
part of these terms and conditions.
In the event that insufficient
registrations are received, the OC reserves the right to withhold
unallocated prizes.
The Tier 1 Prize is subject to
the provisions relating to the use of tickets under the OC’s terms
and conditions relating to purchase and use of tickets which shall
be developed by the OC in the future.
The Tier 1 Prize does not
include travel to Glasgow, meals, travel insurance and any other
costs of a personal nature (e.g. spending money and room service
etc.) which will be the sole responsibility of the winner and the
guest. Name changes once made, cannot be altered and prize winners
and their guest must act within the framework of acceptable and
proper behavior during the course of the prize trip and comply with
all rules and regulations outlined by the OC, including without
limitation the ticket conditions. The OC reserves the right to
exclude prize winners and their guests from elements of the prize
in instances of non-compliance with these terms.
If the winner of the Tier 1
Prize (see below) is under 16, they must be accompanied to the
Opening Ceremony by their Parent/Guardian. For the avoidance of
doubt, the parent/guardian must take the second ticket of the pair
– no additional tickets will be given.
The prizes are
non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for any
cash alternatives in whole or in part. In the event for any reason
the prize winner does not take an element of the prize at the time
stipulated by the OC, then that element of the prize will be
forfeited by the winner and neither cash nor any other form of
compensation will be supplied in lieu of that element of the prize.
However, the OC reserves the right to provide an alternative prize
of equal or greater value in the event of unforeseen
circumstances.
The OC accepts no
responsibility for late, incomplete, incorrectly submitted,
corrupted or misdirected registrations.
Winners of the Prizes shall, at
the OC’s request, participate in all reasonable promotional
activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the
winning of any prizes, for no further consideration, and they
consent to the OC using their names and images in promotional
material.
The OC and its associated
agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including,
without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss
of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained
(whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection
with the Campaign or accepting or using the prize, except for any
liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal
injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to
the minimum allowable by law.
No bulk, machine generated,
consumer group or third party entries or those suspected by the OC
as such will be accepted. Entries will only be allowed in
accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Any attempted
interference with the running of this promotion will result in a
void entry.
No responsibility will be
accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed. Proof of sending is
not proof of receipt. No responsibility will be taken for
telecommunication or website error.
If for any reason any aspect of
the Campaign is not capable of running as planned, including by
reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs,
tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or
any cause beyond the control of the OC which corrupts or affects
the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct
of this competition, the OC may in its sole discretion cancel,
terminate, modify or suspend the competition, or invalidate any
affected entries.
If a winner is deemed not to
comply with these Terms and Conditions, the entry or entrant will
be discarded and the prize will be allocated to a reserve
entrant.
The names and counties of
residence of the winners of any of the Prizes will be available on
this site by the last day of the month following the promotional
period.
By entering registering for the
