Glasgow Green Hockey Centre
For the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games Glasgow Green will play
host to the Hockey competition. Two new dedicated synthetic hockey
pitches, athlete and official support areas and spectator stands
will be developed on this site and will provide a lasting legacy of
world class sporting facilities as the Scottish National Hockey
Centre.
Owned by the Glasgow City Council, Glasgow Green is close to the
City Centre near the River Clyde and is the oldest public park in
Scotland. The area is home of the magnificent Victorian
People’s Palace Museum and Winter Gardens. This venue will be
situated adjacent to the location of the start and finish of the
Cycling road and time trial events.
