The Glasgow 2014 Cycling programme will showcase the disciplines of Mountain Bike, Road and Track, including four Para-Sport events. It promises an adrenaline-packed mix of speed, endurance and tactics.
Mountain Bike
The Mountain Bike events will take place at a purpose-built cross-country course within Cathkin Braes Country Park. Spectators will enjoy great vistas of Glasgow city while the riders battle it out in a discipline that combines technique with speed and endurance.
Venue: Cathkin Braes Mountain Bike Trails [South Side]
Road
Road Race and Time Trial events will hit the open roads of Glasgow, using specific road circuit courses. They’ll be taking the tourist route through Glasgow, but forgive them if they don’t pause to admire the architecture. When you’re travelling at these speeds, all you can see is the finish line.

Track
Some of the world's fastest track cyclists will converge on the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome to take up the intense competition across 12 events for individual medal success and national glory.
Venue: Emirates Arena and Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome [East End]
Watch out for: Scotland's success in this sport has recently been celebrated in the construction of the world-class Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome. Australia, England and New Zealand also have an impressive Cycling pedigree. This will mean some electrifying action on two wheels at the Games.
