Can someone else pick up the tickets?

If the tickets are to be picked up by someone else you will need to give them a letter of authorisation, signed by you, entitling them to pick up the tickets on your behalf. They must present this at the box office in order to collect the tickets along with photographic identification.

Can I use tickets to promote or market my business or as prizes in a raffle, competition, contest or sweepstake for my charity, club or business?

No. Tickets may not be used for advertising, promotion, auctions, fundraising or marketing purposes (including in competitions, contests and sweepstakes) unless authorised by Glasgow 2014. Please see the Ticketing Terms and Conditions.

How can I request a receipt?

To request a receipt for your ticket purchase, you should apply in writing via email to

How do I know my credit/debit card details will be used and stored securely?

Your ticket application, including your credit/debit card details, will be securely captured and stored to comply with the Payment Card Industries Data Security Standards.

If I’ve purchased both accessible seating and other seats throughout the venue will they be seated together?

We will do all we can to allocate seats near to the accessibility areas in the venue. However, this may not be always be possible and is subject to availability.

Will I receive confirmation of my seats?

Should you be successful in obtaining tickets you will receive confirmation of the total number of tickets and the total cost. However at this early stage in the Games preparation it is not possible to confirm exact seating until venue designs have been completed.

Will all of my tickets for a session be seated together?

Tickets purchased at the same time will be seated together. Any additional tickets, for the same session and in the same price category, purchased at a later date will not be seated with your original application.

Can I be seated with friends who apply separately?

Only people who apply using the same application form will be seated together.

Can I choose my seats?

No. Your application is for tickets in particular price categories, rather than for specific seats. Specific seat locations will be determined once the venues have been finalised and seating configurations are confirmed in 2014.

When will you know the draws for team sports?

Competing Commonwealth Games Associations in the Team Sports of Hockey, Netball and Rugby Sevens will be identified before the end of the year. The draws for Hockey and Netball will be available for the second phase of ticket release, but remember that seats are likely to sell out fast in the first phase, so make sure you submit your application to make sure you do not miss out on seeing some world-class competition. The competition format for Rugby Sevens ensures that each competing nation will play at least one (and sometimes two) matches in each session of the competition – so you don’t need to wait for the draw to be released to ensure you have tickets for this event.
